I missed the colors

Like a coloring book, I thought my life had value based on how many different shapes I had around me –
New shapes to fill in, to discover, to explore for my own leisure.
I never realized it’s the colors filling the shapes that count.

In a world of black and white people, I need to seek those who carry the colors.
